Alexandra, ECE, Manager I have been a registered early childhood educator since completing my program in Ottawa, ON in 2018. I moved to the island just six months later with my three year old son Henry and became recognized by the province as an infant and toddler educator, an early childhood educator as well as a special needs educator. Working with children is undoubtedly what makes me happy. I've held many positions in daycare settings since the beginning of my apprenticeship and have gained a variety of skills with children -- first are foremost as well as parents, coworkers and people in our small but mighty ECE community. I full-heartedly believe in the importance of fostering positive and inclusive environments for children and their well-being. I am just months from completing my online BA in Psychology through Laurentian University and am so incredibly fortunate to be joining the team at Centennial Day Care. I hope to continue learning from children as they learn from me.
Tiffany, ECE Over the years I have had the opportunity to work in an array of childcare environments, These experiences have helped build my philosophy around guiding children in the early years. I believe that play is integral for a child's development and it is important to foster an environment where children can explore, discover and create. I am lucky to work alongside a great group of educators who I learn from on a daily basis.
Grace, ECE Working with children has always been my passion. I have worked with children most of my life in a variety of ways. Seeing the smiles, hearing the laughter, and observing the growth and development of each child is a joy. My belief is that children learn and grow through play, exploration, discovery, and creativity.
D'Arcy, ECE Working with children is something I’ve always been passionate about and I am very excited to be starting my first year in the field. I’m originally from Prince Edward Island and I love to play guitar and sing. I've spent most of my working life on the water, fishing lobster, and as a deckhand with BC ferries. Now I’ve finally committed to doing what makes me happy, and that's working with children.
Noedy, ECEA I am originally from Santiago de Cuba! I moved to Montreal in in 2009 and in Victoria in 2013 after completing my undergraduate degree in Jazz Music Performance at the University of Sherbrooke. I have two children of my own, I love camping, fishing, and of course playing the saxophone! I have been blessed to work in childcare for nearly two years now and have found it to be incredibly rewarding. I believe in this centre's philosophy and hope to contribute and learn from it as much as I can.
